World Down Syndrome Day ~ 3/21 – Diversability
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated annually around the world on March 21st by wearing crazy or mismatched socks. This day resonates with the DS community because it is the 21st day of the third month, representing three, twenty-first chromosomes. We wear socks that are silly, colorful, and in any way outstanding, to exemplify the unique 21st chromosome karyotype. WDSD is an opportunity to share with our greater Central Oregon community all the wonderfully exceptional aspects of Down syndrome.
